Rox are No. 1 Seed

BROCKTON, MA—August 7th, 2017—The Brockton Rox defeated the North Shore Navigators on Sunday night by a final score of 23-2. The victory has helped the Rox clinch the number one seed for the 2017 FCBL Playoffs.  The Rox wrapped up their regular season at Campanelli Stadium last night.

As the number one seed the Rox (32-22) gain the right to home field advantage throughout the playoffs.  The Rox are currently on a one-game winning streak and have gone 8-2 in their last 10 games. Due to the anticipated rain, the playoff schedule has been pushed back one day. The No. 6 seed, Worcester Bravehearts will play The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs at Doyle Field in Leominster, MA and The No. 5 seed, Nashua Silver Knights will play the No. 4 seed, Pittsfield Suns at Pittsfield, MA on Tuesday, August 8th in a single elimination. The Rox having a bye on Tuesday and play on Wednesday at the winner of the lowest seed remaining from Tuesday’s elimination round. Rox first home playoff game is Thursday August 10th. If needed, the team will then play on Friday, August 11th. First pitch for both games will be scheduled for 7:05PM.

Playoff tickets for Thursday and Friday are on sale now at the box office. Any tickets purchased for Wednesday will be valid for Thursday and tickets purchased Thursday will be valid for Friday.
